Established in 1757, the Princeton Cemetery has been nicknamed the "Westminster Abbey of the United States" due to its large number of historically significant grave sites. The oldest of these belongs to former Vice President and infamous duelist, Aaron Burr; other notables include former President Grover Cleveland, influential astronomer Lyman Spitzer, and Canvass White, inventor of an influential type of hydraulic cement. The cemetery lies enclosed by an antique wrought iron fence, in the heart of town, just beneath the Princeton University Medical Center.
Open daily dawn - dusk.
